FAQ
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Whitesboro, Texas, and I typically photograph outdoor sessions in the Sherman area as well.
I do travel for sessions! A travel fee of $25 per 30 minutes of travel, each way, may apply depending on the location of your session. This fee is rarely necessary unless your desired location is 30 minutes or more away from my home.
Please note that travel fees are not subject to discounts and will be charged separately from your session fee.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link containing your edited images within approximately 3–6 weeks of your session. Turnaround times may vary depending on the time of year and my current workload, so some galleries may be delivered sooner or may occasionally take longer. If I take vacation you can expect to add a week to current turn around times.
Once your gallery is delivered, you will be able to download your images, share your gallery, choose your favorites, and order professional prints directly through the gallery.
I highly recommend ordering prints directly through your gallery. All gallery prints are produced by a professional printing lab and provide the best available quality and color match to the images you see online.
You can also order additional products through your gallery, including Christmas Cards and Graduation Announcements.
I am not responsible for color changes, quality issues, or other discrepancies that may occur when images are printed through non-professional or consumer printing services, such as Walmart, CVS, or similar retailers. For the best quality and color accuracy, I strongly recommend using the professional lab available through your gallery.
How many pictures will we receive?
The number of images you receive will depend on the type of session purchased as well as how well everyone involved in the session participates and cooperates.
I do not limit the number of images I deliver. My goal is to provide you with every good, usable image from your session, while avoiding duplicates of the same pose or nearly identical photographs.
All of my sessions are quoted with a minimum number of images you can expect to receive. While I strive to exceed that minimum whenever possible, the final gallery will depend on the circumstances and results of the session.
I am not responsible for a smaller gallery resulting from members of your party being uncooperative, unwilling to participate, or otherwise affecting the number of usable images captured during the session.
What do I do if I need my pictures back ASAP?
You can purchase a rush pass that will ensure your pictures are delivered within a week.
Rush pass is NOT subject to discounts.
Rescheduling & Refunds
Refunds:
All sessions are non-refundable for any reason. Once a session has been booked and payment has been made, no refunds will be issued under any circumstance.
Rescheduling:
Outdoor sessions will only be rescheduled due to rain, sleet, or snow. Rescheduling due to wind will be determined at my discretion based on the severity of the conditions and whether I feel the session can be safely and successfully completed.
If a session needs to be rescheduled due to weather and there is no sunset availability within the timeframe you need for your photos, you may be required to choose an earlier session time before another scheduled session.
Please understand that I do not double-book weekends, so availability for rescheduled weekend sessions may be limited.
Printing Info
I highly recommend ordering prints directly through your online gallery. Prints ordered through your gallery are produced by a professional printing lab and offer the best available quality and color match to the images you see online.
I edit your images to the best of my ability based on how they appear on a calibrated computer monitor. Because colors can vary between monitors, devices, and consumer printers, I cannot guarantee color accuracy when images are printed elsewhere or viewed on different screens. I am not responsible for color-matching issues that may occur when using a printer or lab outside of the professional lab offered through your gallery.
Your images are professionally edited and delivered as the final artistic product. You may not alter, edit, filter, crop, retouch, or otherwise change the appearance of your images, nor may you hire or authorize someone else to do so.
Unauthorized alterations to the images may violate my copyright and the terms of your image license. Please respect the integrity of the final images and my work as the photographer.
DOWNLOAD YOUR PHOTOS
I DO NOT permanently STORE your photos. Once your gallery link has been delivered, you are responsible for downloading and safely storing your images.
Please download your photos in a timely manner, as gallery links will expire. Once the gallery has been delivered to you, I cannot guarantee that your images will remain available.
I am not responsible for lost or deleted images after they have been delivered. Please back up your photos in multiple locations to ensure they are safely preserved.
Safety & Liability
Your safety is important to me, but please understand that I cannot be held liable for accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur during any session.
This includes accidents or injuries caused by natural surroundings or wildlife, including but not limited to lightning, snakes, insects, uneven terrain, or other natural hazards.
Please remain aware of your surroundings and use caution at all times during your session.
I am also not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages that occur at a rented studio or other session location. If you or anyone in your group damages or breaks any property during a session, you will be responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement.
By participating in a session, you acknowledge that outdoor and studio environments may have inherent risks and agree to take reasonable precautions to keep yourself and your group safe.
Tardiness & Rescheduling
Please arrive on time for your scheduled session. I allow a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals.
After the 15-minute grace period, arriving late may affect the lighting available for your session and may also impact sessions scheduled after yours. If your session must be rescheduled due to tardiness, a $100 rescheduling fee will apply.
Please respect my time as I respect yours. Arriving on time helps ensure that you receive the full session experience and that I can stay on schedule for all of my clients.
How do we receive our photos?
Your album will be delivered via web link where you can download and save your photos.
Sales and Deposits
All discounted and sale items must be used within 1 year of the purchase date. Once a discounted session credit has expired, it is void and cannot be extended. Please do not ask for exceptions, as I am unable to make them.
All sales and deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits are valid for 1 year from the original purchase date and may be transferred to another session date if you need to reschedule within that year time frame.
Please note that discounted session credits will not honored after their expiration date. No exceptions will be made.
Studio & Location Rentals
I no longer have a studio of my own. If you would like to have your session in a studio or at a location that requires a rental fee, you will be responsible for booking and paying for the rental.
I’m happy to help you find a studio or location that fits your vision and needs!
Editing Style
Please do not ask me to edit your photos to look like another photographer's work or in a style that is not advertised or represented on my page.
I am happy to use inspiration photos to understand the overall look or feel you are hoping for, but I cannot guarantee that your images will be edited exactly like an inspiration photo.
Editing is highly dependent on the lighting, location, time of day, colors, and conditions present during your session. Because every session is different, the final editing will reflect my own style and artistic approach as shown throughout my portfolio.
By booking with me, you are trusting my creative vision and editing style.
Outfit Changes
If you would like to include an outfit change during your session, an additional $100 fee will apply per outfit change over the amount included in the session.
Please let me know when booking if you would like to add an outfit change to your session so we can plan accordingly.
Extensive Photoshop & Retouching
Standard editing is included with your session. If you request extensive Photoshop or detailed retouching, an additional $100 fee will apply.
This includes, but is not limited to:
*Removing boogers or other small imperfections from every photo
*Extensive skin corrections or addressing significant skin concerns
*Body reshaping or making you appear slimmer in every image
*Fixing flyaway hairs throughout the entire gallery
*Other extensive or repetitive retouching requests that go beyond my standard editing
A pimple here and there or normal, minor skin imperfections are part of standard editing and do not fall under the extensive retouching fee.
If you have a specific retouching request, please discuss it with me before your session so I can let you know whether an additional fee will apply.
Credits
Baby Plan Session Credits:
If you have a remaining session credit from a previously booked Baby Plan from when I offered Baby Plans, please be aware that all remaining credits have an expiration date.
Your remaining session credits must be used by the end of the calendar year in which the final scheduled Baby Plan session was supposed to take place.
For example, if your baby turns 1 year old in September and you missed a Sitter Session, any remaining credit must be used by December 31 of that same year. Credits cannot be carried over into the following calendar year.
Once the applicable calendar year has ended, any unused Baby Plan credits are expired and void.
Missed Mini Session Credits:
If you have a credit from a missed mini session, the credit must be used by the end of that calendar year. Unused credits will expire at the end of the calendar year and cannot be carried over. I am not responsible for scheduling issues that result in you not getting the preferred season you wanted photos if a cancellation/reschedule had to be made. Credits will expire, no exceptions.
Missed mini session credits cannot be used on another mini session date, so that the credit does not take the place of a paying mini-session spot.
Please note that the credit must be used before the expiration date and cannot be extended or transferred.
I completely understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change or sessions are missed. However, I also hope you understand that I cannot leave session credits open indefinitely or allow them to remain unused for years.
Session credits are subject to the expiration dates outlined in my policies. Please be mindful of these deadlines and plan accordingly so that you are able to use your credit before it expires.
